Computer Repair & IT Support in Nepean

On-Site Computer Help in Nepean

Nepean mixes older bungalows and split-levels, newer infill, condos, and a lot of small businesses along Merivale, Baseline and Greenbank. In older homes the router is often tucked in a basement corner, which leaves the upstairs with weak Wi-Fi.

What Nepean clients usually need

• Desktops and laptops: slow, crashing, or not starting. See PC & computer repair.
• Better Wi-Fi in older homes: router placement, mesh or a wired access point. See Wi-Fi & mesh setup.
• Help for seniors at home: email, scams, printers and new devices. See in-home computer repair.
• Small offices: workstations, networks and backups. See office computer repair.
• Old computers made fast again: SSD and memory upgrades instead of a new machine.

Neighbourhoods I cover

Centrepointe, Craig Henry, Merivale, Trend-Arlington, City View, Crystal Beach and Qualicum, plus nearby Bells Corners, Barrhaven and Westboro.

Older Homes and Small Businesses

Nepean is a mix of older bungalows and split-levels, newer infill, condos, and a lot of small businesses along Merivale, Baseline and Greenbank. The jobs follow that mix.

• Long single-storey layouts: in a bungalow, a router at one end of the house leaves the bedrooms at the other end with a weak signal. Central placement or a second access point usually solves it.
• Split-levels: half-floors and the basement block Wi-Fi in odd ways. I test coverage room by room before recommending anything.
• Small offices and shops: shared printers that stop working, a computer that won't see the shared drive, backups nobody checks, and email after a staff change. I come after hours if daytime downtime isn't an option.
• Older computers: plenty of solid machines here just need an SSD and a clean Windows 11 setup, if the hardware supports it, instead of a replacement.
