Most Ottawa computer repair experiences are the same story: you pack up your machine, drive it to a shop, leave it for days, get a call with a vague diagnosis, pay whatever they quote, pick it up, drag it home, and discover your settings are gone and the problem is halfway back. I started Hardwired IT because there's a better way — I come to you.
Hardwired IT is a mobile on-site IT support service for homes and small businesses across Ottawa and Gatineau. I'm a single owner-operator, which means when you call, you're talking to the person who will actually show up and fix the problem. Most jobs are handled the same day, right at your kitchen table or home office desk. Every job is quoted upfront before I touch anything, and the no fix, no fee guarantee means you only pay when your problem is actually solved — not when I've tried my best and come up short.
My Background
I've been working in IT professionally for over 20 years — not in a call centre or a retail chain, but in the field, diagnosing real problems in real environments. My formal training includes a Computer Systems Technician diploma and a Computer Systems Technology – Network Security advanced diploma, which gave me a deep foundation in hardware, software, operating systems, and network architecture. On top of that, I hold a CompTIA A+ certification — the recognized industry standard for professional IT competency — covering hardware, software, networking, and security fundamentals.
I'm based in Centretown, Ottawa, which puts me within reach of the whole region — a straight shot to Kanata and Barrhaven to the west, Downtown and Gatineau to the east, Gloucester and Orléans beyond that. I'm fully bilingual in English and French, so you can work with me in either language from the first call to the final invoice. I'm also background-checked and insured — because you're letting someone into your home, and that should never be a question you have to ask.
What I Work On
