"Plugged in, not charging", a charger light that flickers, or a laptop that only charges when the cable is held at an angle. The cause is almost always one of four things: the charger, the cable, the charging port or the battery. I find which one at your location, so you only pay for the part that's actually failed.
If the laptop is completely dead, see laptop won't turn on. Your files are almost always fine when a laptop won't charge. If anything is at risk, I back it up first. See data recovery.

Most often it's the charger or cable, a worn charging port, or a battery at the end of its life. On Lenovo laptops it can also be Conservation mode, which deliberately stops charging around 60-80%.
That's almost always a worn or loose charging port, either a barrel jack or USB-C. It's a common, fixable repair.
Usually not well. Phone chargers rarely supply enough power, so the laptop charges slowly, says slow charger, or doesn't charge at all. Use a charger rated for the laptop's wattage.
In most cases, yes. I confirm the exact port for your model, quote it, and replace it at your location when the part is in hand.
Almost never. Charging problems don't usually affect the drive, and I can back up your files first if there's any risk.
